Remodelers & builders
Remodeling website design, that proves you finish the job.
Homeowners hire remodelers on fear: of the budget, the schedule and the contractor who disappears halfway through. Your site has to answer all three before the first meeting. $1,999 flat, live seven days later.
What this build puts first
What changes for remodelers & builders.
What should a remodeling contractor’s website include?
A remodeling website has to answer three fears before the first meeting: the budget (ranges from your own projects, by scope), the schedule (week by week, including the weeks without a kitchen) and you (how you price, how allowances work, what happens behind walls). I build that for $1,999 flat, live in seven days.
The rest is the same on every build: design, copy, scheduling, search, a year of hosting and edits, and a site you own. It’s all on the services page, and the money is on pricing.
Fear one: money
Publish the ranges you actually land in.
Remodeling clients assume every number on a website is a trick to get you in the door. Ranges from your own last two years of projects, by room and scope, are the opposite of a trick.
- 01By scopeSame layout, some changes, opening a wall.
- 02Where it goesCabinets, labor, counters, appliances, by share.
- 03What’s not includedSaid as clearly as what is.
Fear two: time
Show the weeks, not just the total.
“Eight to twelve weeks” means nothing to someone who has to cook somewhere. A week-by-week schedule, with the weeks they need to be available marked, does.
Fear three: the contractor
Explain how you price, and what happens behind walls.
Allowances, change orders, cost-plus, fixed-price: homeowners have heard the horror stories. A plain page on how you price and what you do when a wall surprises everyone is the most persuasive page on the site.
Fixed price or cost-plus
Which you use and why, with the fee stated.
Allowances
Whether you use them, and how they become change orders.
Scheduling software
Wired into what you already run.
Remodelers and builders run project management software with client portals. The site’s design-visit request should start the lead there.
Buildertrend
The most common remodeling platform. Design-visit requests start the lead there.
JobTread
Handled the same way.
Houzz Pro and others
If your pipeline lives there, the site feeds it.
See it working
A remodeler’s site I built.
Paseo Kitchen & Bath is the Kansas City remodeler in my portfolio, with an interactive budget breakdown and a ten-week schedule. Juniper & Ash Builders in Bend, Oregon shows custom homes and timber frames, with honest cost per square foot.
Questions
What remodelers & builders ask first.
01How much does a remodeling contractor website cost?
$1,999 flat, one time, with design, copy, software integration, launch and twelve months of hosting and edits included.
02Should a remodeler publish price ranges?
Yes, from your own recent work. Ranges by room and scope filter out mismatched budgets and reassure the clients you want.
03Do homeowners care about the schedule?
Very much. A week-by-week schedule, showing when they’ll be without a kitchen, answers one of the biggest worries about remodeling.
04Can the site show my license?
Yes. Many cities and counties license remodelers, and Oregon requires the CCB number on websites. I put yours where it belongs.
05How long does it take?
Seven days from the form to a live site.
Doing it yourself?
Read Remodeler sites that prove you finish the job first. It covers what a remodeling site needs, whoever builds it.
