Website design for the trades

Everything your website needs, in one $1,999 fee.

There’s no list of packages here and nothing held back for a bigger tier. One fee, and inside it every job a website has to do before it can make the phone ring. Here’s each of them, and why it’s in there.

What the $1,999 covers

01Design and build

Your site should look like your company before anyone reads a word.

A template gives every plumber in town the same bones and asks you to be the one that looks different. I start from your outfit instead: the trucks, the uniforms, the jobs you’re proud of, the kind of customer who already calls you. The type, color and layout are chosen to match.

Usually five pages: home, services, about, your work and contact, plus a page per service or per town where it earns its place. Every one of them is built for a phone held in one hand by someone standing in water, in heat, or in a driveway looking up at missing shingles.

02Copywriting

Every word on it, written the way you’d say it on the job.

Most contractor websites stall on the words. The owner meant to write them, the designer left placeholder text, and three years later the about page still says “Lorem ipsum” or “Quality service you can trust.”

I write every sentence from your form, your Google reviews and a few texts with you: services that say what happens and roughly what it costs, an about page that sounds like a person, and the details that tell a homeowner what to expect when the truck pulls up. Nothing is left for you to fill in.

03Scheduling, wired in

Requests land in the software that already runs your day.

Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Workiz, FieldEdge, Service Fusion, Kickserv, ServiceM8 or Square. Whichever one dispatches your crew, the site plugs into it. Online booking where you want it, a request form where you’d rather qualify the job first, and no second inbox for anyone to forget about.

Click-to-call sits on every page within reach of a thumb, because a burst pipe or a dead AC is still a phone call. The form is there for the homeowner who’d rather not talk until you’ve seen the photos.

05Hosting and the first year

Twelve months of hosting and edits, inside the same fee.

Hosting, the security certificate, backups, renewals, and every small change a year brings: new prices, a new tech, a new truck, storm-season hours, a spring tune-up special. Text me the change and it’s up the same day.

There’s no monthly bill in year one and no ticket queue. After that, hosting and support are $300 a year or $30 a month, or I hand you the whole site to run yourself, free.

06Ownership

The domain and the site files are in your name from day one.

Plenty of contractors find out too late they never owned their website. The marketing company held the domain, the builder held the files, and leaving meant starting over with nothing, sometimes while still paying a contract.

Here nothing is rented back to you. If you ever leave, all of it goes with you.

Last thingAbout four builds a month

All six are in the $1,999, and your preview is ready by day seven.

Fill out the form today, then text me a few job photos when I reply. No meeting to schedule.
