Waterproofed behind the tile.

Tile isn’t waterproof. Grout isn’t waterproof. What keeps water out of your walls is the membrane behind them, and it’s the part most remodels rush.

What’s behind the tile

Every Paseo shower gets a continuous waterproofing membrane on the walls and floor, flood-tested for twenty-four hours before any tile goes on. We photograph it so you have a record of what’s inside your walls.

Ventilation

A bathroom fan that actually reaches outside, sized for the room and on a timer. Most of the mold we tear out in KC bathrooms is from a fan venting into the attic, or no fan at all.
