Dale ran framing crews in Central Oregon for twenty years. Mats cut timber frames in Montana and Oregon for fifteen. They started Juniper & Ash in 2014 to build fewer houses, better.

Why the name
Western juniper is everywhere in the high desert, tough and slow-growing. Ash is what’s left when fire comes through. We build for both: things that last here, and things that survive what happens here.
