Up and out of the water.
If your home is in a flood zone, the electrical equipment that survives the next surge is the equipment that’s above it.
What we raise.
On a raised platform
Set above the flood elevation for your lot, where required, with the transfer switch inside or raised.
Relocated or raised
When a panel is replaced after flooding, we look at moving it higher.
Moved up the wall
Lower-floor circuits rewired with outlets above the expected flood line.
Know your elevation
Your flood zone and base flood elevation are on your elevation certificate or the county’s flood map. Substantial repairs after flooding can trigger requirements to bring the house up to current flood standards. Ask your county building department, and we’ll build to the answer.
Rebuilding after a flood? Build it higher.
