Our process

A plan, a price, then a shovel.

Every project follows the same three steps. You know the fee at each one before it starts.

Limestone & Laurel / Our process
Two landscapers working with a wheelbarrow in a garden

Four steps.

  1. 01

    Consultation, $250

Two hours at your property. We walk it with you, talk about how you want to live in it, take measurements and probe the soil. Credited toward design.

  2. 02

    Design, $2,500–6,500

A measured site plan, drawings or renderings of the main spaces, a planting plan and a written, fixed construction price. Two rounds of revisions included.

  3. 03

    Construction, fixed price

Our crews, a site lead every day, weekly updates with photos. The price changes only if you change the plan.

  4. 04

    Walkthrough and warranty

A final walkthrough, a care guide for the plants, and a return visit at the end of the first growing season.

Asked first.

Do I have to use you to build the design?

No. The design is yours. Most clients do build with us, but the drawings and planting plan are useful to any contractor.

How far out are you booking?

Design typically starts within three to five weeks. Construction is scheduled when the design is approved, usually four to ten weeks out depending on the season.

Are you licensed?

Yes. We hold a Tennessee contractor license in the landscaping classification, required for projects of $25,000 or more, and a Davidson County home improvement license for residential work from $3,000 to $25,000.

Step one is a walk around the yard.
