Rooftop units

If your AC is on the roof.

A lot of East Valley homes from the 1980s and 90s have the whole system in one box on the roof. They’re repaired the same way and replaced with a crane.

Why they wear faster

A rooftop unit sits in full sun on a surface that can top 160 degrees, and it collects every dust storm. Capacitors, contactors and fan motors fail more often than on ground units, and the cabinet’s seals dry out and leak cool air into the attic.

Replacing one

We schedule a crane, set the new unit on a curb adapter that matches the old opening, and reconnect the ducts. Most replacements are done in a day. The crane and the city permit are included in the price.
